GLAND 3 Preview
Wham! Just two days since the last entry and here we are back with more!
We showed these babies off at Interbike so it seemed a good time to let everyone get a quick preview of the new GLAND3.
Smaller than the old GLAND but with much bigger cable tie slots and "bobbles" on the inside face which keep the GLAND from slipping about on the wheel and so reduce the stress on the cable ties.
This picture gives you some idea how they compare to the old ones for size:-

We are still in final testing but are shooting for a launch early in 2007.

are the bobbles on the back capable of fiting all spoke paterns? cause other wise im not too sure they will bring stability to the gland since they will provably ride over the spokes lifting the gland up and probably rubing with the forks. if they are in a pattern are they strong enough to function properly

could be smaller

The bobbles deform to fit any spoke pattern. They work great.
Yes, it could be a tiny bit smaller, but then it wouldnt work as well. A LOT of thought has gone into the design and I see no point in compromising this for a debateable aesthetic concern.
For me, form will ALWAYS follow function. If the LOOK of products is your prime concern there are PLENTY of other companies to choose from.

hopefully you get time to answerthese even with a baby girl totakecare of. congrats by the way.
My questions though were
A) whats the spoke length do i need to use if i run the marm. 36h with the ribcage?
B)if i decide to run a ribcage on the back whats your policy regarding break wear? (if it occurs) sorry man. not that i dont believe you when you say thefinish is durable, but hey, its good tocover all thebases. Thanks for the effort into your prod line man. peace
